its a simple state that I don't mind sharing
though in life I tend to just dance around
but a time is rising to change my living
and walk this talk of the "love surrounds"

down an age old trail I have wandered longing
from an inspiration by an old heartache
when a vision rose from a time of shadows
I found a brand new path to take

there's a love surrounds every man and woman
and its truth abounds in all the give and take
there's a love surrounds each and every nation
just behind all the lies of fate

there's a fine old man who I'll meet one morning
if I just stop fighting that I must accept
then the time I'm left to walk among the living
will certify the way a man can conquer death

so listen closely when I start my walking
