its a simple state that I don't mind sharing
though in life I tend to just dance around
but a time is rising to change my living
and walk this talk of the "love surrounds"

the Death of Patriarchialism

After some 5000 years of male-centered societies evolving.....from & in........our quest for self-realization.......I believe we are staggering towards a very real possibility of gender-unity. Current research, for example, is pointing out that women's numbers are steadily exceeding men in university level education. This supports the feminist movement's goals which were initially established in France in the 1800s.

In a retrospective point of view, it could be philosophically postulated that the great period of man's anthropocentric self-portrait thru physical size and strength........is finally coming to a close.....though it may take a century or two.....if we don't self-destruct.....to accomplish such.

Whether or not you realize it......male-dominated societies created all current industrialism on earth. It is the primitive nature of mankind to build security....by increase.....rather than by comprehensive balance. The result is all current dilema including war, pollution, species extinction, etc etc etc.

I am not removing women from equal responsibility in my statement.....regardless of about 30,000 years of female-ruled societies pre-dating male........for women of the last 5000 years have to share the responsibility as a matter of evolutionary principle since they chose to support these traditions....and suffer at the hands of patriarchialistic autocracy.....and finally begin to collectively recognize that the only permanent solution to modern problems is a balancing of creative force in both genders. It is my belief we are in a time of avail-ability if we seek to understand the problems we've created on global scales.........as a period of evolutionary change. Anything less won't work.

It is speculative as well.......whether or not we can orchestrate the needed changes in attitudes both personally and collectively to meet these global challenges. If we can't............the future we face is not a prosperous future for humanity....................and it is my personal belief.........we've all been at this point before........and missed it.

Our evolving consciousness........

So here is where the discussion on our collective journey can begin.....again.

Let's say that linear evolution is a fact of the spiritual essence of existence and Baha'i'u'llah was one in a long line of people who realized the importance of expressing such to a greater audience which led to the beginning of an organized 'faith' or 'fellowship' , in his name, as is the case with so many others. If that is the reality then one must consider the probability that "linear evolution" is ...also...merely a part of a greater continuity....or macrocosmic principle which is 're-volutinary' instead of 'e-volutionary'. These two prefixes alter the meaning of a word with powerful implications in its definition. VOLUTIONARY.....generally means 'spiraling' and 'round'........ so evolutionary should actually mean an evolving spiral or circle....which has no end. With that in mind...my use of re-volutionary steps into its "fundamental change" definitive and implies an ability to create and endless array of lives in an endless array of worlds including ours.....through an equally endless array of dimensions.

This idea, interestingly enough, supports the theory of expansion and contraction within all forms of life......ebb & flow....positive & negative...yin & yang. It also allows the idea that beyond the arguments of gender for primary position....there exists the true initial principle which is genderless....and subsequently supports all ideas of equality. It would stand to reason that releasing oneself from idealistic bonds created by contextual definitives....or anthropomorphizing......all of which implicate man's belief in his superior status among earth's denizens....is also merely a phase of our re-volutionary e-volution.

This leads me to a question once asked by a very dear friend in vancouver....Troy Davids....about whether or not I thought orthodox Christianity had really done anything good for the whole of mankind. My answer did not include any of the other major beliefs but commented to his specificity. I said to him something like this, " if we were meant to go through phases of growth en-masse....like we do individually....and these phases were governed by equations relevant to the laws of physics....reduced forms from quantum mechanics.......then Christianity with all its superstitious metaphorical teachings...was a required part of the 'e-volutionary/re-volutionary' principle.......for it drove us to expand ourselves into an arena which reqired much innovative invention to perpetuate human growth and this fact would eventually lead us round in a circular motion of communication with those we had separated from. I think the world of Eastern beliefs which the Western belief system is currently trying to reach a better understanding of...and with......is part of the process.

Here is another. There are many who have the notions that a "new world order" will come under the rule of an anti-christ or a godless one......and the gamut of fear produces all manner of forced inclusion such as numbered tattoos with 666 the sign of Satan. Yet in view of the many times I have reminded readers that 'satan' is a Hebrew word.......originating from an actual meaning of "one who opposes Patriarchial/Father based rules" eventually becoming anthropomorphised as an evil angel........it should give great cause to question the fundaments of huge amounts of "new age" bullshit, exposing them for the recycled orthodoxy they are.

It may actually come to pass that the Mid-eastern views of capitalism... self-centered industrialist consumerism.... finally help create a better economy of equality for this old planet my people call "turtle mother".

"Dennis & Goliath"" or something similar...

Here's one of our little buddies who hangs around the place.......Goliath......our squirrel. Yes..I know.....but what a great name for a precocious critter such as she is. She is quite small, energetic, and sassy. The last word supports the tendency of most humans to anthropomorphize all aspects of life. She built a nest and had a litter in it this summer......inside an unused chimney at the back of my shop. I found where she'd gnawed out a way to get in through the eave. I don't mind this as long as they don't try to establish in my attic. When they do.......buy two large bags of mothballs and throw them all over the attic. They don't care for the intense smell and will quickly scram. One afternoon, while she was raiding the bird-feeder which hangs above the woodshed section of our shop, I walked out the door and she was so busy she didn't notice me till I spoke to her. Egaadds !!! I scared her half to death and she set up such a scolding that I burst out laughing as she scampered into a 5" conduit stored in the woodshed rafters. at this point I decided to try and coax her into a hand-feed of peanuts.....hey ! hey ! hey ! look at me Mama ! I got the squirrel eating outta hand !! Boy..did I think that was cool......mind you for a guy who has held baby black bears in his hands and even tiny deer.....it isn't that big of a deal....except for the fact that each time something like this happens.......its as exciting as it is for little kids at a petting zoo for the first time. Back in 1980 I had an almost full grown eagle in my hands on the highway in Northern Washington State. I've had raccoons on my shoulders and all sorts of contact with critters at one point or t'other down thru the years, once even a rare spreading adder I caught near Corpus Christi Texas. That was an eye-opener for certain because if you've never seen one.....they act similar to cobras and are very poisonous.

Then Suz comes along and sez, "oh I see you've met our little friend." Whaaaat ?! Now I find out it isn't me who conquered Goliath atall..........nope.....I'm nuttin' but a Johnny-come-lately for she'd been feedin' the little rascal for weeks. Great White Bushman my arse....

Buick, bus, or buffalo ?????

Today, while rambling about looking for some 2-part epoxy to do minor repair body work, I was thinking about Suz' sister and mother since I'd just had tea and scones with them while in town. The broad array (no pun intended) of their likes and dislikes rarely allows for boredom and they can be some of the easiest to converse with. Her sisters are Reiki practitioners and ardent Wiccan as well. Even Mama Janine has very flexible ideas about our human condition and all are very welcoming to others. So....while I'm puttering about my shop studying the repair I need to accomplish.....I'm thinking in terms of song which fit their changing profiles......such as "Sherry" from the early 60s which through my constant 'free association' mentality reminds me of the Beach Boys hit....'Little Deuce Coupe'.......a song I've known by heart since I was about 12. This bit of musing leads me to something I said ........and off I go into another tangent which leads me to the subject....

I was thinking in terms of mobility. We, of the western industrial world, are almost 'terminal' in need of our ability to travel and explore. Without transportation we quickly begin to feel confined and trapped by the world around us. There is no doubt in my mind this stems from attitudes and lifestyles as well as innate qualities which generate from the entire scope of our past. If I look at societies which rose from sedentary lifestyles to prominent mobility and then fell from existence.....it seems plausible that one of the major reasons was mobility...too much mobility.

The more mobile our desire...the more this need demands industrialization to fill that desire.....hence we will sacrifice almost everything which we need as basics to fund that mobility.

Take our land bases as example and it is easy to reference by such modern problems as urbanization. Histories of civilizations founded on this principle have shown this to be true. The more land bases and societies which adhere to this logic.....provides no more security than its opposite. Sooner or later all smaller versions are 'swallowed' by the larger and then at a certain point the larger can no longer fund what the whole needs to survive which causes a reversal in what many are refering to as a need to downsize. It is truly like a family which has no more children from some problem or another.

I make this a reference point because a mobile society, more than a sedentary one, needs expansion to continue its existence. It must either produce that expansion from primary source or import it from secondary sources. This is because the 'mobility' breeds a different kind of contribution in form of goods and services which can be provided by trade. The result establishes a whole new identity within the 'pecking order' which demands continuity of expression right alongside the original base. This, of course, requires constantly adding to the area of mobility.

Now.....if that area of mobility suffers a major downturn in its economic 'sources' the result will begin a 'domino effect' within the scope of the society and slowly or rapidly...depending on factors of 'support content', the society will begin its demise.

In earlier times war, famine, disease, and other natural events contributed to lessen the effect on the world at large...but....the state of our 'mobility' has reached is zenith worldwide and the strain a worldwide mobile society is placing upon the denizens....whether adherents or off-griders....is showing its teeth world wide during the last 100 years or so.

It will be interesting to see the rising and falling of all the ideas which are being explored worldwide, as I write, which are trying to address these problems but I suspect that we are simply learning another lesson about our old Earth Mother's ability to give ....and take away.
